Praying the Rosary

Praying the rosary is a special thing to do because it is a very special tool for prayer. We learned that the rosary came from Mary. She gave it St. Dominic. By: Bassett Hound

We learned that there 5 decades of beads, where you have to pray the Hail Mary. We also learned that you start with the Apostle's Creed. We think that it a beautiful way to pray. We are glad we learned about it. By: Red Fox

Fractured Fairy Tales

After reading lots of fairy tales and fractured fairy tales, we created our own stories. We had to make sure that we changed the story, but didn't break it too much. We could change the characters or the setting or even some events in the story. I think it was really fun to do. I loved reading everyone's story. After we wrote them, we got to color them and go over our pencil lines in sharpie. Mrs. Patel laminated them and made them real books! We got to read them to our buddies, the first graders and the Kindergarteners. Finally, we got to use a cool website called Vocaroo to record our voices reading them. Then Miss Crowley, made our recording into QR codes. Now we can listen to them whenever we want! It was so much fun! By: Pika

Sticker Store

The sticker store is when you count all the stickers you have and you get to use them like money. You can buy things at the end of the year sticker store. There are toys and lots of different cool things at the sticker store. The things cost stickers to get them. We worked hard from January to June to get our stickers. We got stickers if we were on green, or if we were good in class. I had so many stickers! It was fun to shop at the store. By: Raccoon

Fractured Fairy Tales Readers Theater

This week we got to do Fractured Fairy Tale plays. We've been learning all about Fairy Tales and Fractured Fairy Tales. We even wrote our own. After we were done with that we got to do plays! Miss Crowley got them from this cool book. My group did, "The Popsicle Boy." It was a story based on the Gingerbread man, but instead of a cookie, he was a popsicle. Another group did, Spiderella, which was about Cinderella but with insects. We got to bring in props and we got to decide how we wanted to stand on the stage. We loved it. We even made these cool poster. We had so much fun! By: Cat

Buddy Cards

Today we made Buddy cards for our Buddies in 5th grade. We are going to give it to them tomorrow to say thanks for being our buddies. We are going to miss being their buddies next year and we hope that they will always remember us. We also hope that they will have a really good summer! By: Puppy

Syllables

We played this game during centers. It's like a maze that you have to make. It tells you how many syllables you need and you have find those syllables in words. When we found one, we put a token on that word. We had to get all the way to the finish square. When we found the maze, we could clean it. We used magnets to clean up the tokens! It was so much fun! I like practicing with syllables. By: Fish
